10. Summary of the thesis results:
The purpose of this research is to present the basic content of training at 5-star hotels in Nha Trang city.
Firstly, based on the theory of research on training work in hotels, the author has basically completed the following contents: (1) Concept of training in the hotel industry; (2) Content of training for hotel staff; (3) Brief summary of research and works on human resource management in general and training work in particular. (4) Conducting a situation analysis based on survey, interview, and evaluation methods, proposing specific solutions for two 5-star hotels in Nha Trang city. The contents of training work are the essential theoretical basis for completing the research content on training, one of the important tasks of human resource management.
Secondly, through practical surveys of hotel staff and in-depth interviews with training officers and human resources managers, the study analyzed the current state of staffing structure and employee training through survey questionnaires, and from there identified the strengths and weaknesses of this work at the studied hotels over the past period. The results of the study are highly practical but only representative of a few 5-star hotels in Nha Trang. Therefore, the solutions are still general and macro-level in nature.
11. Practical applications:
Based on theoretical perspectives and the current state of employee training at the two hotels under study, the author has proposed several solutions in the following groups: divided into two parts, for Muong Thanh Hotel, it is necessary to (1) Diversify training types and programs, (2) Effectively utilize training funds, and (3) Build a detailed and accurate training effectiveness evaluation system. For Sheraton Hotel, it is necessary to: (1) Improve the effectiveness of training and training results evaluation, and (2) Establish training partnerships. Furthermore, this document will be a useful reference for human resource managers in the hotel industry as well as a reference for tourism students.
12. Future research directions:
Expanding the research scope to other provinces and cities will enhance the reliability of the study. Furthermore, the distribution of survey questionnaires to not only hotel staff but also tourists will be tailored to specific circumstances and timeframes, ensuring a comprehensive sample and highly practical results.
To verify the practicality of the proposed solutions aimed at improving training for the two hotels and to expand the research scope to include all hotels in Nha Trang.
