- To conduct a detailed survey and analysis of phonetic errors made by Thai students when speaking Vietnamese, based on the theoretical framework of modern error analysis. From this, to identify the root causes of errors made by Thai students during their language acquisition process.
- Based on practical observations, common mistakes made by Thai students include: errors in tone, errors in initial consonants, and errors in vowel sounds (including medial, main, and final sounds). Regarding tone, Thai students mainly fail to pronounce the rising and falling tones.
- Propose solutions to overcome pronunciation errors among Thai students during the language acquisition process.
11. Practical applications: It can serve as a reference material for Vietnamese language teachers instructing Thai students, thereby reducing pronunciation errors made by Thai students during their Vietnamese language studies.
