The thesis has reviewed the issue of research on community tourism development in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province in both theoretical and practical aspects. The thesis has introduced an overview of Khanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa tourism, as well as the contributions of the tourism industry to the development of Khanh Hoa. The thesis conducted a survey and assessed the current status of community tourism development in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province. In Khanh Vinh district, tourism activities are spontaneously formed, exploited and developed by local people. Due to the lack of investment from local authorities and tourism businesses, tourism activities here have not developed. The main type of tourism exploited is eco-tourism, combined with sightseeing and entertainment. Community tourism activities are almost non-existent.

However, the potential for developing community tourism in Khanh Vinh is huge. To do that, the locality needs to have appropriate development policies, carry out tourism promotion; build training policies, develop human resources; preserve tourism resources and the environment; give the highest priority to support ethnic communities in exploiting and developing community tourism in the area.

The thesis has an overview of research and development of community tourism in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province in both theoretical and practical terms. The thesis has introduced an overview of Khanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa tourism, as well as the contribution of tourism industry to the development of Khanh Hoa. The thesis conducts a survey and assessment of the reality of community tourism development in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province. In Khanh Vinh district, tourism activities are spontaneously formed, exploited and developed by local people and have not been focused on investment by localities and tourism businesses, so tourism activities have not been developed especially tourism community, the type of tourism is exploited and put into operation mainly ecotourism combined with sightseeing, entertainment. Activities of exploiting and developing community based tourism are not effective. Besides, Khanh Vinh also has special cultural and natural tourism resources, which are promising for tourism development, especially community tourism. To do that, localities need to have policies to develop and promote tourism promotion; policies for training and developing human resources; conservation of tourism resources and the environment; support the community in the exploitation and development of community tourism in the future.
