10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis provides an overview of the research problem of community-based tourism development in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province, from both theoretical and practical perspectives. It introduces Khanh Hoa province and its tourism sector, as well as the contributions of the tourism industry to Khanh Hoa's development. The thesis surveys and assesses the current state of community-based tourism development in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province. In Khanh Vinh district, tourism activities are spontaneous, developed and exploited by local people. Due to a lack of investment from the local government and tourism businesses, tourism activities here are underdeveloped. The main types of tourism exploited are ecotourism, combined with sightseeing and entertainment. Community-based tourism activities are almost non-existent.
However, Khanh Vinh has enormous potential for developing community-based tourism. To achieve this, the locality needs appropriate development policies, tourism promotion and marketing; policies for training and developing human resources; conservation of tourism resources and the environment; and the highest priority given to supporting ethnic communities in exploiting and developing community-based tourism in the area.

The thesis has introduced an overview of Khanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa tourism, as well as the contribution of tourism industry to the development of Khanh Hoa. The thesis conducts a survey and assessment of the reality of community tourism development in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province. In Khanh Vinh district, tourism activities are spontaneously formed, exploited and developed by local people and have not been focused on investment by localities and tourism businesses, so tourism activities have not been developed especially tourism community, the type of tourism is exploited and put into operation mainly ecotourism combined with sightseeing, entertainment. Activities of exploiting and developing community based tourism are not effective. Besides, Khanh Vinh also has special cultural and natural tourism resources, which are promising for tourism development, especially community tourism. To do that, localities need to have policies to develop and promote tourism promotion; policies for training and developing human resources; conservation of tourism resources and the environment; support the community in the exploitation and development of community tourism in the future.
