Commentary on the Heart Sutra心經註解This work was composed by a Chinese Zen master named Daidian during the Tang Dynasty, and it includes a commentary on the poem.Heart SutraThis work, from Mahayana Buddhism, was translated into Nôm script by Venerable Minh Châu Hương Hải around the 17th century. Venerable Hương Hải was one of the pioneers in the "Vietnamization" movement of Buddhism and the revival of the Trúc Lâm Yên Tử Zen school. Through his translations and original works in Nôm script, he made immense contributions to the treasury of Buddhist literature in particular and Vietnamese literature in general. Through the study of this translation...Commentary on the Heart SutraThrough the work of Venerable Huong Hai, we can see a glimpse into the development of the Nôm script in our country during its perfecting period. It also reveals the methods used by Buddhist activists to translate Buddhist works in Vietnam, representing a significant step forward in the history of translating Buddhist texts into Nôm script. The Buddhist terminology translated in the work also helps us understand the concepts, viewpoints, and Buddhist thoughts of contemporary Đại Việt monks.

Heart Sutra Commentary 心經註解sa work written by a Chinese Zen master named Dai Dien in the Tang dynasty, commenting theHeart Sutraof Mahayana Buddhism, translated into Nom by Venerable Minh Chau Huong Hai in the seventeenth century. Venerable Huong Hai is one of the pioneers in the movement of "Vietnamization" of Buddhism and the renaissance of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect. By his works translated from or written in Nom, he has made great contributions to the treasure of Buddhist literature in particular and Vietnamese literature in general. Through the research of the translation oftheHeart Sutra Commentaryby Venerable Huong Hai, we can see a part of the development of the Nom characters in our country during the period of its completion, as well as the way in which Buddhist activists translate Buddhist works in our country, represents a step forward in Nom translation of Buddhist works in Vietnam. The Buddhist terms translated in the works also help us to understand the Buddhist concepts, perspectives and ideas of contemporary Dai Viet monks.
