10. Summary of the thesis results:
Topic "Cambodia-Japan relations during the period 2012-2020This research, conducted over approximately 1.5 years, focuses on the relationship between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Japan from 2012 (when former Prime Minister Abe came to power in Japan and Cambodia focused on implementing national development plans). Based on the historical context of bilateral relations from 2012 onwards, the global and regional situation, and the situation in each country (Cambodia and Japan) during the period 2012-2020 (Chapter 1), the study, employing scientific, dialectical, historical, and developmental thinking, delves into and clarifies the Cambodia-Japan bilateral relationship in various aspects, including: political-foreign relations, military-defense, socio-economic, and cultural. Through monitoring visits and speeches by high-ranking leaders of both countries, and utilizing data and indicators on events, cooperation, aid, and investment between Japan and Cambodia, the study gradually constructs a comprehensive picture of the relationship. Overall, there was initial deepening of the relationship between the two countries during the period mentioned (in Chapter 2).
Based on the researched practical factors and a comparative analysis of relevant articles and scientific works, Chapter 3 of this thesis delves into the analysis, assessment, and commentary on Cambodia-Japan relations in the recent period, examining both positive and negative impacts on each country and on Vietnam. It also boldly predicts some directions and prospects for the development of this relationship. This is the "novelty" of the thesis, as it places Cambodia-Japan relations within the context of the increasingly intense US-China competition in the region. Japan is a traditional ally of the United States, while Cambodia is becoming increasingly closely linked to China. The two countries could become the "intersection" of a strategic competition in this era, necessitating a more thorough study of the Cambodia-Japan bilateral relationship. Furthermore, the study also placed all the above factors in relation to Vietnam for consideration and research, aiming to identify advantages to be exploited and capitalized on, and to forecast some difficulties and challenges that Vietnam needs to overcome from the perspective of the Cambodia-Japan relationship.
11. Practical applications:
This study aims to research and understand the Cambodia-Japan relationship during the period 2012-2020 and some issues that have an impact on Vietnam.
12. Future research directions:
Continue to monitor and study this bilateral relationship in subsequent stages in order to seize opportunities and advantages, overcome limitations and challenges, and contribute to the stability of the southwestern region of Vietnam in particular, and the three Indochinese countries in general.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The thesis "Cambodia - Japan relations in 2012 - 2020 period " has been studied for about 1.5 years, focusing on in-depth research on the relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Japan from 2012 (when the former Prime Minister Abe came to power in Japan and Cambodia focused on implementing national development plans). Starting from the historical context of bilateral relations before 2012, the world and regional situation as well as domestic situation of Cambodia and Japan in 2012 - 2020 period (Chapter 1), by scientific, dialectic, historic development and thinking, the thesis has in-depth researched the Cambodia - Japan bilateral relations in political-external affairs, military-defense, socio-economics, culture etc. In particular, by observing high-ranking leaders' visits and speeches of two countries, using data and indicators on events, exchanges, cooperation, aid and investment etc. between Japan and Cambodia. The thesis has gradually drawn a relatively comprehensive picture of a deep relations between the two countries in the above mentioned period (Chapter 2).
On the basis of factors of studied pratical together with comparing with a number of arguments of articles and scientific works related to the thesis, in Chapter 3, the thesis has in-depth analyzed, assessed and given comments on the Cambodia - Japan situation relations over the past years with trends of both positive and negative impacts on each country and Vietnam; and initially forecasted a number of development prospects of this relations. This is also a "new point" of the thesis because the Cambodia - Japan relations have been placed in the context of the increasingly fierce US-China competition in the region, in which Japan is a traditional ally of the United States and Cambodia has increasingly close ties with China. The two countries might become the "intersection" of a strategic competition this age, requiring more careful study of the Cambodia-Japan bilateral relations. Moreover, the thesis has also studied all factors relating to Vietnam in order to make use of advantages, forecast difficulties and challenges to Vietnam from the Cambodia-Japan bilateral relations.
