10. Summary of thesis results:

Through research and study, it is shown that the barriers facing lesbians today come from two directions: themselves and the social community.

From the community and society:

+ Family: There is a tendency to gradually accept out of love for the child.

+ Friends: easily accepted, especially close friends, although there is still implicit prejudice.

+ Coworkers, neighbors: Attitudes and behaviors tend to be negative towards lesbians

+ Media: Print and online newspapers do not accurately reflect the image of lesbians. However, there have been documentaries and scientific reports about homosexuals.

+ The Vietnamese legal system has not yet protected lesbians.

For lesbians themselves:

+ The process of identifying sexual orientation and finding a lover or partner still faces obstacles.

+ Lesbians are becoming more open about their sexual orientation.

11. Practical application:

This research will acknowledge and assess the difficulties in the lives of lesbians, and at the same time contribute a voice of support for lesbians to be confident in living as themselves.

12. Further research directions:

- Expand research to find out what are the causes of the difficulties affecting lesbians?

- Study lesbians' reactions to the difficulties they encounter more clearly.

11.Summaries: Through the study and learning, it has been seen, that nowadays the lesbians barriers come mostly from themselves and social community.

From the social community:

+ Family: Having a tendency to gradually accept the fact, descending from the love for their children.

+ Friends: Despite the existence of silent homophobia, friends can easily accept the fact, especially close friends.

+ Colleagues, neighbors: Negative attitudes and behaviors with lesbians

+ Media: Printing paper and online paper have not reflected appropriately about the images of lesbians. However, there are already documented films and science reports about LGBT.

+ Vietnamese legal systems do not speak for lesbians.

From the lesbian themselves:

+ The journey to find out their sexual orientation, to find their lovers and marriage partners still has many difficulties.

+ Lesbians have the tendency to publish their real sexual orientation.

12. Practical implementation:

This study makes a contribution to identify and to appreciate the difficulties of lesbians. At the same time, the thesis makes a contribution for lesbians, so that they can be themselves and live their own life.

- Expand the research finding the causes of difficulties affecting lesbians.

- Study the response of lesbians to the difficulties.
