10. Summary of the thesis results:
- Present the foundations of the Vietnam-Japan economic relationship: the preconditions; the results of Vietnam-Japan economic cooperation before 2006; and the policies of each government to promote international cooperation in general and the development of bilateral economic relations in particular.
- Present the current state of Vietnam-Japan economic relations from 2006 to the present – a period of strong and remarkable economic development between the two countries following the Joint Declaration on building a strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia. The achievements of this relationship are reflected in three areas: trade relations, investment cooperation, and Official Development Assistance (ODA) from Japan to Vietnam.
- Based on an assessment of the existing advantages and limitations in the current economic relations between the two countries, propose several solutions to promote development, including general solutions and solutions for each area: trade relations, investment cooperation, and ODA; and provide insights into the prospects for the development of economic relations between the two countries in the future.

+ Presents the basis of economic relationships between Vietnam and Japan: The preButcondition; condition; Results of VietnamButJapan economic cooperation before 2006; and policies to promote international cooperation in general and to develop the Vietnam - Japan economic relations of each country in particular.
+ Presents the real situation of VietnamButJapan economic relations from 2006 to present – The period that economic relations of the two countries outstandingly flourished after the Joint Declaration on building strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia. The results are expressed in three contents: Trade Relation, Investment Cooperation and Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Viet Nam.
