- Romanticism is a literary movement that has an extremely important meaning in the process of literary development and is especially successful in building the image of ideal characters. Through this thesis, we research and provide a more comprehensive view of romantic literature, its formation, development, contributions in content and art, as well as the values ​​that this literary genre brings.

- In particular, this thesis delves into the study of the beauty of the ideal character in romantic literature, specifically examined through a number of novels by V. Hugo. Thereby, the thesis demonstrates the beauty, ideological values, and great contributions of this character image in romantic literature. At the same time, the thesis also affirms the talent and enormous contributions of V. Hugo in romantic literature in particular and world literature in general.
