Summary of thesis results: Through the process of researching the theoretical and practical needs of vocational training among rural youth in Kien Thuy district, Hai Phong city in the current period, we have drawn the following conclusions: - Regarding theoretical research results: + From researching, analyzing, and generalizing relevant documents, the thesis has presented a system of concepts for the topic: needs, occupation, vocational training needs, rural youth, vocational training needs of rural youth… + The thesis also affirms that the vocational training needs of rural youth in the district are influenced by many different factors such as: health, gender, age; awareness of the meaning of vocational training; self-assessment of one's own psychological characteristics regarding the occupation; family; friendships; orientation and vocational training activities in the locality; public opinion about the occupation and socio-economic changes. - Regarding the results of practical research: The results of practical research show that the demand for vocational training among rural youth in the district is at an average level. This level of demand is reflected in three aspects: the level of awareness of the meaning and importance of vocational training, the identification of the target group to satisfy the need for vocational training, and the level of action to acquire the target group to satisfy the need for vocational training. Specifically: + The awareness of rural youth in the district regarding the meaning of vocational training is at an average level. If the meaning of vocational training is divided into groups: meaning for oneself, family, and society, they tend to pursue vocational training to satisfy their "self" more than towards meanings related to family and society. + The target group for vocational training among rural youth in the district is very rich and diverse. The majority of them tend to move away from farming and towards professions that are considered "trendy" and those closely linked to the socio-economic development of the locality. Choosing vocational training programs that align with local development needs is not a strong enough motivation for them to commit to learning and pursuing those professions. + The level of action taken to satisfy the vocational training needs of rural youth in the district is also average. They have not yet undertaken actions to satisfy their vocational training needs as an act of willpower and a spirit of overcoming difficulties. + The results of practical research on the influence of factors on vocational training needs show that: the "output" factor after completing vocational training; health, gender, age; trust in vocational training institutions; self-assessment of suitability for the profession; friendships; and personal willpower are the factors that most influence vocational training needs, followed by factors related to public opinion, family, and local government, which have the least influence on their vocational training needs. 11. Practical Applications: - Serves as a basis for local authorities to formulate appropriate policies and guidelines to meet and enhance the vocational training needs of rural youth in the district. - Provides practical information for career guidance activities in schools and for each family. - Helps vocational training institutions to orient and innovate to better meet the needs of those who have, are, and will be pursuing vocational training. 12. Future Research Directions: - Expand the research scope to the entire city of Hai Phong and nationwide. - Conduct a deeper study of the relationship between the various aspects of vocational training needs and the extent to which these factors influence the vocational training needs of rural youth. - Forecast the trend of vocational training needs of rural youth in the coming years. 13. The level is reflected in three aspects: awareness level about the significance and the importance of apprenticeship; the determination of objects entitled to satisfy the demand for vocational training; and level of action to occupy the object to satisfy the learning needs. In detail: + Awareness of rural youth about the meaning of apprenticeship is at average level. If the meaning of apprenticeship is divided into the groups: significance to yourself, to family and to society, the rural youths have tendency of learning a trade to satisfy themselves rather than towards the meaning associated to family and society. + Vocational objects of rural youth in the district are abundant and diverse. Most of them tend to escape from farming and towards occupations being considered the "modern" ones and the jobs associated with the local socio-economic development. Choosing the appropriate jobs for local development has not been the driving force that is strong enough for them to be determined to study and stick with jobs. + Level of actions to meet apprenticeship needs of rural youth at the district is also at average level. They have not yet implemented the actions associated with the will and the spirit of overcoming difficulties. + The results of empirical study on effect of factors to vocational demand show that occupation when finished vocational training; health; gender; gender; age; age; trust to vocational training institutions; self-assessment of conformity of himself to the job; friend relationships; and his own will be the most influential factors to employ. The followings are public opinion and family; and the least influential factor is factors belonging to local government. 12.
