Summary of the findings of the thesis: Nowadays, Eco-tourism on islands is a developing type of new tourism and it plays an important role in protecting environment and preserving ecosystem in Vietnam and in the world as well. In Vietnam in general, and in Quang Nam province in particular, this type is quite new but promising. Quang Nam province has two Cultural World Heritage sites are Hoi An ancient town and Mi Son. With its location, Quang Nam's preseved area of Cham island regonized as Biosphere Reserves World by UNESCO.
