Based on the analysis of various sources, this thesis systematically analyzes the changes in the alliance between the United States and the Philippines from 1992 to the present. From this, the thesis assesses the impacts on both countries as well as on the region, including Vietnam. Simultaneously, the thesis evaluates the future trends in the alliance between the two countries.

- In the context of the increasingly complex territorial disputes in the South China Sea, studying the changes in relations between the US and the Philippines plays a crucial role in providing scientific arguments for researchers and policymakers in assessing the evolving political and security landscape of the region.

This thesis serves as a systematic reference for teaching and research on international relations in general and US-Philippines relations in particular.

- Based on various types of documents, this thesis analyzes scientifically the changes of the relations between the US and its ally - Philippines since 1992. From there, the thesis evaluates how these relations impact on each country and also on other countries in the region, including Vietnam. It also assesses the US – Philippines relations' trends in the coming time.

- In the context of current sovereignty disputes in the East Sea with increasingly complex happenings, studying on the changes of the US – Philippines relations plays an important role for researchers and policy makers in assessing the changing tendency of political and security complexion in the region.
