10. Summary of thesis results:
The main purpose of the thesis "The movement for women's right to participate in politics in Japan since World War II (1945) to present" is to present and analyze the main developments and some outstanding achievements in the movement for women's right to participate in politics in Japan. In addition to the achievements, the thesis also points out the limitations of the movement for women's right to participate in politics in Japan, a country that is in the "top" of the world in terms of economic development as well as human development indexes (HDI) but is in the group of countries with low gender equality index (GDI) in the world. Based on the awareness that gender prejudice in Japanese society is the main reason why women's participation in politics is still weak in this country, the author has proposed some solutions based on the research of experiences from some other countries.
From the case of Japan, the thesis also relates and compares with the case of Vietnam. Looking back at the current situation of Vietnamese women's political participation in recent decades, the author also pointed out some difficulties and shortcomings, thereby boldly expressing his own views on the direction of solution.
11. Practical application:
Currently, Japan is facing many difficult social problems such as the decline in children, the aging population, etc. One of the fundamental causes leading to the above problems is the deep gender inequality that still exists in Japanese society. Bringing women into the political field on an equal footing with men so that they can contribute to the formulation of policies that are in line with women's thoughts and aspirations is essential to overcome the above problems in Japanese society.
From the case of Japan, the thesis also contributes proposals to further enhance women's political participation, contributing to building a democratic and equal society as the foundation for economic development in Vietnam.
