Prepositions in English are very important, because incorrect use can lead to misunderstandings in communication. The main cause of errors is the negative transfer of learners from Vietnamese to English. Furthermore, differences in some corresponding structures and the perception of space and time between English and Vietnamese speakers are often not the same. Therefore, teachers need to clearly identify the causes of errors and how to correct them. However, the most effective method of error correction is to create opportunities for students to discover and correct their own errors, as well as correct each other's errors.

This helps new English learners acquire basic knowledge about English prepositions so they can recognize and correct their own mistakes when using them.

Prepositions in English is very important, because it will cause misunderstands in everyday conversations if learners couldn't use them correctly. The main reason causing error is the negative transference of learners from Vietnamese to English. Moreover, the differences about corresponding structures and cognition of space and time between English and Vietnamese are not often the same. Therefore, teachers need to specify the causes of the errors and how to fix it. However, the error correction method is said to favor Vietnam is to create opportunities for students self-discovery, self-correction and fix themselves to each other.
