Summary of thesis results: The relationship between parents and adolescents in the family is analyzed with two contents including: Firstly, parents' perceptions of the value of adolescents in life, expressed in: parental sacrifice for children and children's obedience to elders in the family, parental priorities for adolescents in some areas, and parental anxieties about adolescents; Secondly, the views of parents and adolescents on marriage. In general, the results of the analysis of questions for both parents and adolescents in the same area such as parental sacrifice for children, children's obedience to elders in the family, or the decision-maker in marriage all show that the relationship between parents and adolescents today has a more equal and democratic trend. Factors such as parental education level, household living standards, and place of residence have a certain influence on the views of both parents and adolescents regarding the issues analyzed. Generally, parents with higher education levels, higher living standards, and urban areas tend to have more open-minded views, less restrictive relationships with their children, and show less respect, trust, and interference in adolescents' affairs compared to parents with lower education levels, lower household living standards, and rural areas. For adolescents, gender also influences their views on their relationship with their parents. Male adolescents generally tend to retain more traditional thinking and beliefs than female adolescents in most areas. 11. Practical applications: (if any) 12. Future research directions: further research into other aspects demonstrating equality and democracy in parent-adolescent relationships within contemporary families, especially adolescents' decision-making rights within the family. 13.
