The topic “The Buddhist Thought of Liberation in the Lotus Sutra (The Universal Worthy Bodhisattva’s Exhortation to Develop)” aims to develop three main issues. First: An overview of the Lotus Sutra; second is an overview of the meaning of the Universal Worthy Bodhisattva’s Exhortation to Develop chapter; and third is a study of the liberation thought of the Universal Worthy Bodhisattva’s Exhortation to Develop chapter. These three issues are researched by the author based on the Buddhist perspective and scientific dialectical methodology to clarify the basic philosophical ideological issues of the Universal Worthy Bodhisattva’s Exhortation to Develop chapter by Kumarajiva.

The thesis helps us understand more deeply some philosophical thoughts in the Universal Worthy's Encouragement to Develop chapter and thereby contributes to the practice to reach the state of liberation and enlightenment.

Such three matters are studied based on Buddhist point of view and scientific dialecical methodology in order to lighten up matter in basic philosophical ideology of The Encouragement of the Universal Sage Bodhisattva translated by Tripitaka Master Kumarajiva.
