Based on the results of theoretical and practical research on “Loneliness among young adults today"We draw some conclusions:
- Demographic factors have a low influence on the experience of loneliness; in particular, gender and whether or not one lives with family or friends have no impact on the level of loneliness experienced by young adults.
- People with healthy, active lifestyles have lower levels of loneliness.
- Of the five basic personality traits—troublesome, extroverted, open to experience, agreeable, and conscientious—the level of troubling and extroversion has a significant impact on feelings of loneliness among young Vietnamese adults.
- The relationships around us are the strongest influencing factor on each person's experience of loneliness. Vietnamese people in their 20s and 30s have the highest need for connecting with friends and increasing social relationships.
- People who prioritize material possessions and social status tend to experience higher levels of loneliness.
