The thesis consists of 3 chapters with the following basic contents:
Chapter 1. Overview of Party Congresses and Party Congress Archives
In this chapter, we present a brief overview of the Party Congresses from 1986 to 2011, the functions, tasks and organizational structure of the National Congresses of the Party. Next, we present the results of the initial survey and assessment of the composition, content and characteristics of the documents of the Party Congress archives. On that basis, we can see that the documents of the Party Congress archives are evaluated in terms of historical value for the study of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Chapter 2. Documents of Party Congress archives from 1986 to 2011 - Historical sources for research on the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam
In this chapter, we focus on analyzing the historical values of the Party Congress archives to serve the study of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam in aspects such as studying the process of drafting documents for the Party Congress; studying the leadership and direction of the Party in a number of areas such as politics, economics, culture - society, security - defense, foreign affairs; studying the preparation process, developments and results of each Congress.
Chapter 3. The situation of scientific organization and exploitation and use of documents of Party Congress archives to serve the study of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and some recommendations and solutions
From the current situation of exploiting and using documents of the Party Congress archives from 1986 to 2011, the thesis proposes a number of solutions to promote the exploitation and use of documents of the Party Congress archives to serve the research of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 1986 to present at the Central Party Archives in the coming time.

Some recommendations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of scientific organization, exploitation and use, and the issue of building historical sources when researching the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam at the Central Party Archives

This thesis consists of 3 chapters with the following basic content:
Chapter I: Overview of these periods of Party Congress and these archival fonts of Party Congress.
In this chapter, we concentrate on presenting some periods of Party Congress from 1986 to 2011; the function, mission and system's organization of The National Congress of Communist Party. Next, we launch the survey results, the initial assessment of the composition, the content about the characteristics of the documents in archival fonts of Party Congress. Consequently, the documents in fonts of Party Congress are considered historical value serving on historical studies of The Communist Party of Vietnam.
Chapter II: Document in fonts archived of Party Congress from 1986 to 2011- historical resources serving on historical studies of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In this chapter, we focus on analyzing the historical value of the documents in fonts archived of the Party Congress serving on historical studies of the Communist Party of Vietnam on some aspects such as research in the process of building a document submitted to Party Congress; in the direction and guidance of the Party in several domains such as politics, economy, culture and social security – defence, Foreign Affairs; research in the preparation process, happenings and results of a Congress.
Chapter III: The situation of scientific organization and exploitation, using document in fonts archived of Party Congress serving on historical studies of the Communist Party of Vietnam and some recommendations and solutions.
Based on the situation of exploitation, using document in archival fonts of Party Congress from 1986 to 2011, the thesis proposes some solutions to promote the exploitation, using document in archival fonts of Party Congress serving on historical studies of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 1986 to the present in the archives of the Central Party in the following times.

Having some recommendations and solutions in order to enhance the effect of scientific organization, exploitation in use and construction of historical resources serving in historical studies of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the archive of the Central Party.
