The press plays a crucial role in social life. Besides its significant political, economic, and social responsibilities, the press also speaks out to protect the rights of all social strata and groups, including the vulnerable. The voice of the press helps these special groups achieve a certain degree of fairness in life. The press's important role is not only in contributing to the dissemination of information and raising public awareness regarding the issues facing the vulnerable, but also in enhancing the knowledge and understanding of society as a whole on this issue. Furthermore, the press serves as an effective information bridge, helping the vulnerable integrate into the community.

In the context of societal development, television is a mass media capable of transmitting information and exerting a significant influence on a large audience. Therefore, television programs are seen as a means for vulnerable communities to access the information they need more quickly and widely. However, specialized television programs focusing on vulnerable groups still have many limitations in terms of content and format; the information is often fragmented and superficial, and the presentation is forced, even overly glorifying them. Furthermore, they lack a frank and accepting view of vulnerable groups as equal citizens in society. Therefore, for society to truly understand and act correctly towards vulnerable groups, broadcast programs need to innovate in content to better suit the demands of current realities. Therefore, researching this topic is important and necessary to help local television stations find solutions to further improve the quality and effectiveness of messages about vulnerable people on their broadcasts, thereby contributing to high cultural values and creating a harmonious and healthy society.

Due to the aforementioned issues, this thesis will explore and discuss "Messages about vulnerable people on local television broadcasts."
