The press plays an important role in social life. In addition to its important political, economic, and social tasks, the press also speaks out to protect the rights of all classes and groups in society, including the disadvantaged. It is the voice of the press that helps this special group to have a certain fairness in life. The press plays an important role not only in promoting and raising public awareness of the issue of the disadvantaged, but also in raising the knowledge and level of the whole society on this issue. On the other hand, the press is also an effective information bridge to help the disadvantaged integrate into the community.

In the development trend of society, television is a mass media that has the ability to transmit information and has a great influence on the public. Therefore, television programs are considered a means to help the disadvantaged community access the information they need more quickly and widely. However, specialized television programs about disadvantaged people still have many limitations in content and form, information is still fragmented, sketchy, the way of expression is forced as if it is excessive worship, on the other hand, there is no straightforward view accepting the image of disadvantaged people as equal in the community like all citizens. Therefore, in order for society to truly recognize and act properly towards disadvantaged people, broadcast programs need to have more positive content innovation to suit the requirements of current reality. Therefore, the research on this topic is important and necessary to help local television stations find solutions to further improve the quality and effectiveness of messages about the disadvantaged on their airwaves, thereby contributing to bringing high cultural values, creating a harmonious and healthy society.
