In which, the thesis has achieved the following results:
Research and apply general theoretical systems and theories in social work to understand, evaluate and propose solutions to the problem of access to basic social services for the poor migrants in urban areas.
Research, survey, process information and synthesize and analyze practical data on the living conditions of migrants in the Long Bien bridge area, Hanoi.
Applying the methods and roles of social work for migrants in Hanoi city in the process of research and practice, thereby supplementing the theory for applying this method in practice, perfecting the theoretical system of social work for the poor migrants in urban areas today.
The study applies the role of social work to support the target group of poor migrants in Hanoi city to access basic social services, notably education and health services.
Basic assessment of local programs and policies in particular on issues related to migrants.
Propose specific solutions to support migrants in accessing education and health services. Propose recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of current policies for migrants in urban areas.
11. Practical application:
The study aims to clearly see the reality of life, the current needs of migrants in the Long Bien bridge area, Phuc Xa ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city and their current status of access to social services. From there, there is a basis for supporting the target group, helping them increase their access to these services. At the same time, through that situation, propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of implementing policies for migrant workers in urban areas today.

Also through this reality, evident measures to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the policy with the object of migrant workers in urban areas today.
