- The thesis statistically analyzes and surveys on onomatopoeia (also known as sound words or descriptive words) in Vietnamese in two dictionaries: the Vietnamese Dictionary (2010) and the Dictionary of Reduplicated Words (Institute of Linguistics).

- Describe the appearance of imitative words in Vietnamese across the following aspects: structural methods, grammatical function, semantics, and pragmatics.

- Clarify the effect of using imitative words in spoken language and in narrative or descriptive texts (based on the analysis of some literary materials) through the aspects analyzed above.

- Through surveys, statistics, and descriptions of the characteristics of imitative words in Vietnamese, the study highlights the necessity of teaching this type of word to foreign learners of Vietnamese.

- The thesis also proposes several methods for teaching simulations to foreigners, ranging from selecting target learners and teaching methods to compiling materials, curricula, teaching aids, and systems of exercises and practice problems.

11. Practical applications: The research results of this project are helpful in compiling a dictionary of model words in Vietnamese, creating materials for teaching oral communication, and compiling Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners at intermediate and advanced levels.
