This thesis outlines the theoretical and practical basis of child nutrition issues in Vietnamese media today; presents the concepts of nutrition, child nutrition; nutritional information; the role and methods of reflecting nutrition issues in the press in general and print media in particular; and provides an overview of current specialized sections and columns on child nutrition. Through a survey of the content and format of the Health and Life newspaper, the Mother and Baby magazine, and the Youth newspaper, the thesis clarifies the child nutrition issues reflected in these three publications; evaluates their strengths and weaknesses, and summarizes the important characteristics of child nutrition issues reflected in print media. Based on the survey of these three publications, it proposes improvements to enhance the quality of content and format regarding child nutrition in print media and the press in general.

11. Practical applications: Providing theoretical frameworks and practical solutions for developing specialized sections and columns reflecting on child nutrition issues in the press.

This thesis outlines the theoretical and practical basis for current issue of child nutrition in Vietnam newspapers; present concepts, nutrition, child nutrition; nutritional information; role, methods reflecting nutritional problems of the press in general and newspapers in particular; overall evaluate specialized magazines, specialized items about child nutrition issue. By surveying the content and format of Health and Life Magazine, Mother and Baby Magazine and Magazine of Youth, this thesis clarifies the issue of child nutrition reflected in three newspapers; assess the advantages and limitations, thereby generalizing the important characteristics of child nutrition issue reflected in newspapers. From actual results of the survey in 3 newspapers, the thesis proposed to enhance the quality of the content and form of child nutrition issue in newspapers in particular and the press in general.
