10. Summary of the thesis results:
- Through the study, the author of this thesis found that the group of specialized programs on border and island areas plays a significant role in the overall program framework of television units. Almost all television stations or channels, from central ones like VTV, VTC, Vietnam News Agency Television, ANTV, National Assembly, People's Television... to local ones (44 provincial-level radio and television stations in provinces with land and sea borders), allocate time to this specialized group of programs. Many of these programs are flagship shows, broadcast during prime time.
- The production processes and organizational models for specialized programs on border and island areas are very diverse. Depending on the specific characteristics of each production unit, the level of development of television technology and techniques, the personnel involved in production scheduling, and other supporting factors, the production team in each unit differs. Three common production organization models are those of central television stations, local television stations, and socialized units. Each model has its own advantages and limitations in terms of production processes and organizational methods. Currently, the most advantageous and effective model is that of socialized units.
- Without a rational and synchronously implemented process, it will be very difficult to improve the efficiency of television production and produce good works. For programs with specific production conditions and inherent risks, such as the thematic programs on border and island areas, the production process is even more crucial. Based on the specific production conditions and the valuable experiences gained from existing production organization models, the author of this thesis proposes a 14-step process to optimize production efficiency. This process allows for overcoming current limitations, focusing on several key stages such as planning, scriptwriting, and production scheduling. Of course, implementing this process also involves solutions for personnel selection, planning, and other material arrangements.
11. Practical applications:
- This thesis is a good reference document for research topics on television journalism in general, and the production and management of specialized television programs in particular, specifically the group of specialized topics on border areas and islands; for researchers, trainees, students, and television stations.
- This is a valuable source of information for anyone interested in understanding the overall picture of television program production in general, and programs about border regions and islands in particular, especially those who have been, are currently, or intend to be involved in television production. From this, they can apply the knowledge to practice, adjust their professional work accordingly, and contribute to improving the effectiveness of program production.
12. Future research directions:
This topic can be upgraded to the level of a doctoral dissertation.

3. Date of birth: 30 March 1988 4. Place of birth: Kim Dong District, Hung Yen Province

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
- Through the survey, the author found that: the contents on frontier and island play an important role in the overall programming grid of a television channel. Most of TV stations or channels (including national stations such as VTV, VTC, Vnews, ANTV, QPVN,... and other 44 local TV stations which have national border lines) have timeslot for these specialized contents. Many programs have become main contents, which is broadcast in the prime-time.
- The production process and model of specialized program on frontier and island contents are diversified. Depending on the characteristics of production houses and the development of television technology and technique, the production team and other assurance factors for a team are different. There are three popular production models are: production model of national TV stations, production model of local TV stations and model of socialization production houses. Each model has advantages and disadvantages on production process and organization. The most efficient model at the moment is considered the model of socialization production houses.
- There is no suitable and synchronized process, so it is difficult to improve the efficiency of production and to have good programs. To programs with specific production conditions and potential risks such as frontier and island programs, the production process is more important. Based on the specific production conditions and experiences from existing production models, the author of this thesis proposes a 14-step process for optimizing production efficiency. This process allows to overcome the current limitations, focusing on some key steps such as plans, scenarios and production coordination. Of course, to execute this process also involves selecting production crew, developing plans and other alternatives options.
11. Practical applicability, if any:
- This thesis is a good reference for research on television programs in general and the TV production organization in particular, specifically the frontier and island programs for researchers, students, and television producers.
- This is an useful information source for those who are interested and want to understand the full landscape of TV production in general and the programs on frontier and island contents in particular, especially for those who want to be television producers. They can apply these guides into practice, adjust their work and contribute to improve the productivity of the program.
12. Further research directions, if any:
This thesis can be upgraded to a PhD thesis.
