10. Summary of thesis results:

- Through the survey, the author of the thesis found that: the group of specialized programs on borders and islands plays an important role in the overall program framework of television units. Most of the stations or television channels from the central level such as VTV, VTC, Vietnam National Defense News Television, ANTV, National Assembly, People... to the local level (44 Provincial Radio and Television Stations of provinces with land and sea borders) all devote time to this specialized group of topics. Many topics are "key" programs, broadcast during prime time.

- The production process and organization model of the program group specializing in the border and island areas are very diverse. Depending on the characteristics of each production unit, the level of development of technology, television techniques, personnel participating in production coordination and other factors ensuring a team in different units. The three common TCSX models are the TCSX model of the Central Stations, the TCSX model of the local Stations and the TCSX model of the socialized units. Each model has its own advantages and limitations in terms of production process and organization of activities. The most superior and effective at the present time is the model of the socialized units.

- Without a reasonable and synchronously implemented process, it will be very difficult to improve the efficiency of television production and produce good works. For programs with specific production conditions and potential risks such as thematic groups on borders and islands, the production process is even more important. Based on the specific production conditions and good experiences drawn from existing production organization models, the author of the thesis proposes a 14-step process to optimize production efficiency. This process allows to overcome current limitations, focusing on some key stages such as planning, scripting, and production coordination. Of course, to implement this process also involves solutions for selecting personnel, developing plans, and other material options.

11. Practical application:

- The thesis is a good reference document for research topics on television in general, and the work of TCSX on television specialized programs in particular, specifically specialized topics on borders and islands; for researchers, students, and television stations.

- A useful source of information for those who are interested in and want to learn about the comprehensive picture of the production of specialized television programs in general and programs on borders and islands in particular, especially those who have, are and intend to participate in television production. From here, they can apply it to practice, adjust their professional work appropriately, contributing to improving the efficiency of program production.

12. Further research directions:

The topic can be upgraded to the scale of a doctoral thesis.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

- Through the survey, the author found that: the contents on frontier and island play an important role in the overall programming grid of a television channel. Most of TV stations or channels (including national stations such as VTV, VTC, Vnews, ANTV, QPVN,... and other 44 local TV stations which have national border lines) have timeslot for these specialized contents. Many programs have become main contents, which is broadcast in the prime-time.

- The production process and model of specialized program on frontier and island contents are diversified. Depending on the characteristics of production houses and the development of television technology and technique, the production team and other assurance factors for a team are different. There are three popular production models are: production model of national TV stations, production model of local TV stations and model of socialization production houses. Each model has advantages and disadvantages on production process and organization. The most efficient model at the moment is considered the model of socialization production houses.

- There is no suitable and synchronized process, so it is difficult to improve the efficiency of production and to have good programs. To programs with specific production conditions and potential risks such as frontier and island programs, the production process is more important. Based on the specific production conditions and experiences from existing production models, the author of this thesis proposes a 14-step process for optimizing production efficiency. This process allows to overcome the current limitations, focusing on some key steps such as plans, scenarios and production coordination. Of course, to execute this process also involves selecting production crew, developing plans and other alternatives options.

11. Practical applicability, if any:

- This is an useful information source for those who are interested and want to understand the full landscape of TV production in general and the programs on frontier and island contents in particular, especially for those who want to be television producers. They can apply these guides into practice, adjust their work and contribute to improve the productivity of the program.
