10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis focuses primarily on clarifying the characteristics of the developmental state—a concept that is still very new in Vietnam, modeled after developmental states in East Asia, based on previously studied theories pioneered by the scientist Chalmers Ashby Johnson and the practical experience of building export-oriented industrialization in East Asian countries.

In addition, the thesis also presents some theoretical issues surrounding the developmental state model, such as explaining the concept, the context of its emergence, classification, and nature of the developmental state.

The thesis also provides an overview of the developmental state model in some East Asian states such as Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, and the initial steps in building a developmental state in Vietnam.

11. Practical applications:

This study can serve as a reference for policymakers in Vietnam on building a developmental state, as it provides information on the context in which developmental states emerge, the general characteristics required of such a state, as well as specific characteristics tailored to each country's circumstances, and finally, solutions developed based on Vietnam's current specific context.

At the same time, this thesis will also serve as a useful reference for future researchers, given that the concept of a developmental state in Vietnam is still a relatively new issue.

12. Future research directions:

The topic will be further researched at a higher academic level. Specifically, if conditions permit, the author will conduct a more thorough study of the conditions for building a developmental state in Vietnam, including economics, politics, culture, and law, in order to propose appropriate and accurate solutions.
