11. Summary of the thesis results:
Based on our research on the topic "Print newspapers in the Southwestern provinces of Vietnam and the issue of building new rural areas," we have outlined a general picture of local print newspapers in the Southwestern provinces within the context of modern media. These newspapers are actively striving to provide readers with quality publications featuring relatable articles that reflect real life.
In this thesis, we have identified some opportunities and challenges for local print newspapers during the information explosion era, within a market economy. With fierce competition from other media, print newspapers, the earliest form of journalism, are leaving their "golden age." Instead, print newspapers are facing significant challenges and require a strong revolution to reinvent themselves in the era of Industry 4.0.
Through surveys of local print newspapers, we have proposed two groups of solutions related to management and solutions primarily focused on improving the professional quality and political integrity of journalists, enhancing the effectiveness of the dual-version newsroom model (print and online), building a quality team of contributors, and strengthening the Party's leadership and the State's management in promoting the new rural development program. We hope that these solutions will contribute valuable insights to print newspapers in the Southwestern provinces during a period when a revolution is needed to renew themselves, seize opportunities, and turn challenges into opportunities. This means finding a new direction in the new context.
Seizing and effectively utilizing opportunities, along with a suitable strategy, will create conditions for the stable and sustainable development of print newspapers. Local print newspapers should not only effectively disseminate the Party and State's propaganda but also serve as a vibrant, accessible forum, building trust among the public, especially rural residents. From there, they can make practical and effective contributions to the national target program on building new rural areas.
12. Practical applications:
With solutions related to management and key areas such as improving the professional skills and political integrity of journalists, enhancing the effectiveness of the dual-version newsroom model (print and online), building a high-quality team of collaborators, and strengthening the Party's leadership and the State's management of propaganda on building new rural areas – these are "vital" factors that can be applied in practice to create a new revolution for print journalism and improve the effectiveness of information and propaganda on building new rural areas in print newspapers in the Southwestern provinces of Vietnam.
13. Future research directions:
The author of this thesis hopes that the topic can be further researched at a higher level. This could involve expanding the assessment of the impact of all types of media on propaganda work regarding the construction of new rural areas. It could also involve in-depth research into the impact of print media on a specific or representative audience group, such as rural residents.
In addition, there is a need for more in-depth research topics and more practical solutions so that printed articles about the New Rural Development program can reach more rural people.
