The thesis consists of 3 chapters:

-Chapter 1: Theories of tourism promotion communication and the role of journalism in tourism promotion.

- Chapter 2: The current state of local tourism promotion and communication on online newspapers in the Mekong Delta region.

- Chapter 3: Some solutions to improve the effectiveness of tourism promotion and communication on online newspapers in the Mekong Delta region.

The thesis clarifies the following issues:

-A collection of theories related to tourism promotion communication, and the role of journalism in tourism promotion.

- To describe the methods of implementing tourism promotion communication at media agencies in the Mekong Delta region, and the characteristics of electronic media products on the topic of promoting local tourism.

- Highlight the opportunities and challenges of online newspapers in the new context; propose solutions to improve the quality of communication and promotion of local tourism on online newspapers in the Mekong Delta region.
