The forms of information on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle education for young people have undergone many innovations, creating richness, attractiveness, and increasing suitability to the information needs of young people.
However, a survey of the participation of Ca Mau's media outlets in educating young people about revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles reveals many limitations and challenges. Ca Mau Newspaper and Dat Mui Photo Newspaper lack dedicated sections on youth, resulting in inconsistent, unsystematic, and infrequent dissemination of information on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles. High-quality news articles and reports are scarce; there are not many in-depth series on educating young people about revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles, primarily focusing on news and reports reflecting youth movements or highlighting exemplary individuals, mainly promoting activities during peak periods of the Youth Union… Furthermore, the coordination between families, the education sector, socio-political organizations, and the press regarding the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for young people is sometimes lacking in tightness and synchronization in guiding and educating young people on the use and reception of influences from mass media; a segment of young people are experiencing a decline in willpower and faith, showing signs of fading revolutionary ideals, avoiding difficulties and hardships, living selfishly and pragmatically, focusing on pleasure, and not caring about the collective and community interests; the situation of young people violating the law and participating in social evils in the province still occurs; Ca Mau youth continue to be targets for hostile forces to focus on attracting, inciting, and dividing them; Furthermore, the negative aspects of modern media, especially social media and the internet, have had a tremendous impact on the awareness, thoughts, and feelings of young people, as well as on the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for them.
Based on the established theoretical framework related to the research problem and the survey results from three Ca Mau media outlets, along with assessments of the opportunities and challenges facing Ca Mau's press in the new situation, the author boldly proposes several fundamental solutions to enhance the role of Ca Mau's press in educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for young people in the current period. These solutions prioritize improving the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership and management in the press; innovating content, diversifying forms, and improving the quality of information to meet the increasingly diverse and rich information needs of young people; and building a team of reporters and editors responsible for youth-related topics with professional expertise and political acumen to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation. Promoting the role of Ca Mau youth in self-study and self-cultivation of morality and lifestyle in order to combat and reverse the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle among a segment of today's youth.
