The thesis focused on presenting the resettlement policy of the Lao Government and the implementation of the policy of the Nam Ngum2 hydropower project, which has led to changes in the livelihoods of the people: Kho Mu, Lao and Hmong after resettlement in Phonesavat village, Phuong district, Vientiane province, Laos. On that basis, it identifies the issues that are arising and adds some orientations for sustainable livelihood development.
