- This thesis delves into the study and analysis of the image of heroic martyrs – the immortal soldiers in the war to defend the country – and the art of character portrayal in the poetry anthology "Red Flower Color" published by the People's Army Publishing House (2004), compiled and selected by Phan Sỹ Thao and Hoàng Đình Hùng. The thesis aims to add some scientifically significant observations (alongside existing ones) on the image of the soldier. The focus of the research is the image of the martyr in poetry specifically dedicated to the theme of soldiers.

- Contributing to affirming the talent, creative personality, and contributions in terms of content and artistry of some representative authors in revolutionary poetry in particular and modern Vietnamese poetry in general.

- This thesis also serves as a foundation for opening up new prospects in the study of revolutionary poetry in general, as well as poetry about soldiers in particular.

This thesis can be applied to studying the artistic style of poetry written about war and the image of the tragic hero.
