Through this, it is evident that the essence of independence and self-reliance in international relations in Ho Chi Minh's thought is to ensure independence and self-reliance while cooperating with the international community, "adapting to changing circumstances while maintaining core principles" to be ready to integrate without being assimilated, with the ultimate goal being freedom and happiness for the nation. It becomes a core element in determining foreign policy methods in each period.

- The application of Ho Chi Minh's thought on independence and self-reliance in international relations by the Communist Party of Vietnam today. Practical experience shows that, in the current period, Ho Chi Minh's thought on independence and self-reliance in international cooperation has been thoroughly understood and deeply ingrained in the Party's policies and guidelines, both domestically and internationally, to maximize domestic resources and take advantage of external resources. The achievements we have made in recent times are fundamental; national independence has been maintained while our diplomatic relations with the international community have grown stronger in both breadth and depth. Our position in the international arena has been significantly enhanced.
