10. Summary of the thesis results:
Firstly, the trainees systematized the theoretical basis of depression in general and depression in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in particular, including: the concept of depression, the concept of COVID-19, factors affecting depressive disorders, and clinical manifestations of depression related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this, they drew conclusions about the current state of methods for assessing, intervening, and treating depression in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide and in Vietnam.
Secondly, the trainees selected assessment and intervention methods for cases with depressive symptoms, such as clinical interviews, clinical observation, scales, tests, and the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In particular, the trainees demonstrated the effectiveness and optimality of using CBT to treat depression during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thirdly, the trainees conducted therapy for a case with symptoms of depression related to the COVID-19 pandemic. After 10 sessions combining various intervention methods, the client self-assessed positive changes. Furthermore, through assessment methods such as scales, clinical interviews, and functional evaluations, the trainees observed that the client had improved and responded well to activities during and after therapy.
11. Practical applications:
Based on the recommendations of this thesis, clients gain additional skills and guidance for preventing future relapses of depression. Furthermore, the thesis provides an overview of the current state of depressive disorders in Vietnam in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the need for more attention and further research and application of therapeutic methods in practice.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Firstly, I systematize the theoretical basis of depression in general and depression in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in particular, such as: the concept of depression, the concept of COVID-19, and factors affecting depressive disorders and clinical manifestations of depressed people related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereby I drew assessments about the current status of methods of assessment, intervention and treatment of depression in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world and in Vietnam.
Secondly, I chose methods of assessment and intervention in case of depression symptoms such as: clinical questioning method, clinical observation, scaling, testing and use of Cognitive Behavioral therapy to intervene. In more detail, I highlight the effectiveness and optimality of using Cognitive Behavioral therapy to treat depression during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thirdly, I conducted therapy for a case of depressive symptoms related to the COVID-19 pandemic. After 10 sessions with a flexible combination of intervention methods, the client self-identified as having a positive change, and through methods of assessing the change such as scaling, clinical questioning and functional assessment ability, I found that the client had a good change and responded well to activities during and after therapy.
11. Practical applicability, if any:
From the recommendations of the thesis, the client has more skills and directions to prevent depression recurrence in the future. In addition, the thesis also provides an overview of the current status of depressive disorder in Vietnam in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic that needs attention and more research and application of therapeutic methods into practice.
