10. Summary of thesis results:
The thesis presents the methods and psychological therapies used for psychological intervention for a child with communication disorder. Analyze and synthesize the theoretical basis applied in the assessment and analysis of clinical practice cases. And record the entire content of the implementation and results achieved during the psychological intervention process.
The results of the thesis are presented in the following two parts:
The theoretical basis section presents an overview of communication disorders and concepts related to communication problems and communication disorders in children. Diagnostic criteria for communication disorders, methods, therapies and techniques used to assess and diagnose problems requiring support.
The section on assessment and implementation of psychological intervention for clinical cases presents information about clinical cases. Case analysis is based on psychological theories. Results of assessment through clinical observations and results of psychological tests. Diagnosis results as well as psychological intervention goals for clinical cases. The thesis specifically records the content of the implementation of therapeutic activities and the results achieved after the psychological therapy process for clinical cases.
The positive results of the thesis are shown throughout the case therapy process: The client has had positive psychological changes in studying, communicating and daily activities. The client knows and performs some tools to help the body relax when having negative emotions. The client knows how to practice to improve the problem of stuttering. The client knows how to solve problems when communicating with friends and people around, building better communication relationships than before receiving psychological support.
11. Practical application:
Nowadays, more and more children and adolescents have difficulties in communication and expressive language, leading to negative emotions, affecting their learning, making friends and daily activities. Therefore, the issues mentioned in the thesis: psychological intervention for a child with a communication disorder has high applicability to cases of children who are psychologically affected when having difficulties in expressive language communication, children with negative behavior, children with communication disorders
