11. Summary of thesis results:
This thesis focuses on highlighting two key issues: the characteristics of using strong ellipsis and subordinate noun phrases in television drama scripts, and their role when incorporated into television drama scripts.
Through our survey, we found that cinematic language is one of the unique forms of artistic language, carrying hidden, profound, and subtle ideas. The descriptive results show that ellipsis in film scripts is implemented to varying degrees, with strong ellipsis being used most frequently (especially the ellipsis of the core subject).
The use of strong ellipsis and subordinate clauses in television drama scripts plays a significant role in creating a powerful semantic impact in a descriptive sentence, both evoking imagery and generating drama in situations, especially during dialogues between characters. This helps to build a clear character image, shaping the film's style and the author's personal style.
12. Practical applications: The research findings of this thesis will contribute to supplementing the theoretical research on the formal linkages of texts. Furthermore, in practical terms, the research results can be used as teaching materials for the University of Theatre and Film and for stylistics courses in universities.

8. Major: Linguistics 9. Code: 60.22.01
10.Supervisors: Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Huu Dat
11. Summary of findings:
The thesis focuses on describing the roles and usage of ellipsis and the language identifier in drama and movie scripts.
Our findings affirm that theatrical language is a unique type of language, employing many subtle implications and insinuations. Ellipsis is used at different levels throughout the scripts, with strong ellipsis being the most common one (especially ellipsis of the governing element).
The employment of strong ellipsis and the language identifier in movie and drama scripts is capable of leaving powerful impressions in terms of crafting images and dramatizing scripts' settings. Especially when used in movies' dialogues, it defines the characters, thus creating a distinctive style for different scripts and screenwriters.
12. Practical applicability:
The findings will contribute to the research of linguistic coordination. On the other hand, this thesis can be used as teaching materials for linguistic courses in general as well as for Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema specifically.
