- Based on the results of the field survey, the thesis has described the current illiteracy and re-illiteracy situation in Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province. The description of the illiteracy and re-illiteracy mentioned above is divided by residential area, gender, age and ethnic composition.

- From the descriptive results, the thesis has made preliminary comments on the situation of illiteracy and re-illiteracy in Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien province. At the same time, the thesis also tries to point out the causes of illiteracy and re-illiteracy in the area and proposes measures to overcome illiteracy and prevent re-illiteracy in Dien Bien Phu city in particular and Dien Bien province as well as ethnic mountainous areas of Vietnam in general.

11. Practical application:

- From the actual picture of illiteracy and re-illiteracy in Dien Bien Phu city in particular and Dien Bien province in general, we build educational measures in language education activities in ethnic minority areas.

- Contribute additional database (in the area of ​​illiteracy and re-illiteracy) for the development of a plan to train labor resources in Dien Bien province.
