Specifically, based on preliminary materials, the thesis reconstructs the key aspects of the Party's foreign policy planning and leadership from 2006 to 2013, thereby contributing to the overall summary of the Party's foreign policy during 25 years of reform.

In addition, the thesis systematically summarizes and analyzes the Party's policies and guidelines, clarifying the Party's independence and creativity in formulating its foreign policy during the đổi mới (renovation) period. From this, it has initially drawn some lessons for the Party's foreign affairs work in the current period.

Thesis studied guideline, policy, the process of leadership, and the successes, limitations of foreign affairs of the Communist Party of Vietnam. provoking, based on the initial material, thesis narrates the main features of process and leading of the Party on foreign affairs from 2006 to 2013. Thereby, thesis contributes to the foreign policy of the Party in 25 years.

Besides, the thesis also generalized and analyzed all the policies, clarifying the independence and creativity of the Party in planning foreign policy in the period of renovation, which was initially drawn some experiences for foreign affairs of the Party in the current period.
