10. Summary of the thesis results:
Khmer Theravada Buddhism, an inseparable religion from national tradition, is deeply rooted in the unique cultural identity of the Khmer community in Southern Vietnam.
Theravada Buddhism, since its emergence, propagation, and integration into the religious and spiritual life of the Khmer community for centuries, has become the dominant religion in the religious and spiritual life of the Khmer people in Southern Vietnam. Khmer Theravada Buddhism, with the vast majority of its followers being ethnic Khmer, has affirmed its unique value to the spiritual life of the Khmer people, making significant contributions to the sustainable development of national identity and accompanying the Khmer people throughout their history in Southern Vietnam to this day.
The Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws, always show concern for the Khmer community in general, and for the state management of Khmer Theravada Buddhism in provinces and cities in particular, within the framework of national unity, with all religions participating in socio-economic development, territorial protection, and national sovereignty.
Research on the characteristics of Khmer Theravada Buddhism in Southern Vietnam will help state management of religion and ethnicity gain a deeper and more accurate understanding of the predicted development trends of the Khmer people and Khmer Theravada Buddhism, in order to propose fundamental solutions to address issues related to Khmer Theravada Buddhism in the future.

This thesis contributes to clarifying the formation and development of the Southern region of Vietnam, its inhabitants, the social life and traditional culture of the Khmer people in the Southern region, the unique traditional religion of the Khmer people in the Southern region; and the process of the introduction and development of Theravada Buddhism in the Southern region. The research aims to affirm the value of the fundamental characteristics of Theravada Buddhism for the Khmer community in the Southern region, identify factors affecting Khmer Theravada Buddhism, and predict and propose solutions for these factors in the future.
The research findings will contribute to raising awareness about the Southern region of Vietnam, its inhabitants, culture, religion, and traditional religions of the Khmer people in the South; and the development trends of Khmer Theravada Buddhism, contributing to socio-economic development policies, cultural development, political stability, and security and order in areas where Khmer ethnic people practicing Theravada Buddhism live and in the Southern region.

Research on Khmer Theravada Buddhism in Southern Vietnam will provide scholars and researchers with valuable insights into the history, social life, traditional religion, and culture of the Khmer people living in the region. This research will examine the Party's viewpoints, policies, and guidelines, as well as the State's legal policies regarding religion and ethnicity concerning Khmer Theravada Buddhism in Southern Vietnam over the past period, and the development path of Khmer Theravada Buddhism within the context of societal and contemporary trends.
