- Studying Nguyen Bac Son's novels from a content perspective, encompassing aspects such as the harmful influences on modern families and the enduring, eternal values ​​of family in his novels, through the analysis and description of character psychology, language, and narrative tone, will contribute to an assessment of the unique features and contributions of Nguyen Bac Son's novels to the literature of the đổi mới (renovation) period in Vietnam.

- Furthermore, we hope that the research findings of this thesis will also contribute to reflecting the reality and changes in family issues during the reform period; a new perspective on society and family in literature of the reform period.
