In addition to the introduction, references, appendix, the content of the thesis is divided into 2 chapters and some conclusions and recommendations.
Chapter 1, Overview, the content of chapter 1 aims to help readers understand the concepts that are closely related to employment and the theoretical basis of the research topic. For example, in terms of concepts, the thesis focuses on stating and analyzing the concepts of employment, unemployment, students, careers, labor market, and work areas.
Similarly, in terms of research theoretical basis, the thesis uses social action theory, socialization theory, structural-functional theory, psychological explanations and the viewpoints of the Vietnamese Party and State on current job orientation of students and young people in the research topic.
Chapter 2, the thesis focuses on presenting and analyzing the current situation of job orientation, job areas and job value orientation of Sociology students. Regarding the current situation of job orientation, the thesis mentions the orientation of the workplace and the work areas of students. In which, the orientation of the workplace of students includes working in Hanoi and other areas. Orientation of the work areas of students includes the State, Private, Joint Venture, and Self-employment sectors. Job value orientation is also an important content of chapter 2, including stable jobs, high income, respected by society, according to interests and in the right major.

Chapter 1 of the thesis tries to help the reader understand the concepts such as the concept of employment, unemployment, student, profession or career, labor market, work area that are more relevant to employment and theoretical basis of the research topic.
Similarly, on the basis of theoretical studies, this thesis also utilizes social action theory, socialization theory, theory of functional structure, interpretation psychology and the views of the Communist Party and State of Vietnam the employment orientation of students, young people today on research topics.
Chapter 2 of the thesis focuses on and analyzes the actual situation of job orientation, job sector and employment value orientation of students in Sociology. On the status quo of job orientation, the thesis mentions about workplace orientation, the working area of the student including working in Hanoi and other areas. Orientation of working areas of student includes the state sector, privatization, joint venture or self employment. Employment value orientation is also an important content of Chapter 2 including stable job, high income, highly regarded employment by society, according to professional interests and major.
On the basis of the contents of chapter 2, the thesis tries to propose some suggestions or recommendations on student employment and employment policies of the State, management of the education and training, as well as responsibilities of students in the current conditions.
