In addition, socio-demographic characteristics such as gender, education level, and self-identification as Buddhists also have a certain influence on the orientation and career choices of Buddhist youth. Accordingly, young Buddhists tend to want to work in the state sector, but the rate of choosing business activities (self-employment) is also significant. Although they have jobs, most young Buddhists do not have long-term plans to stick with their jobs in the future. In addition, the most important criteria for them in choosing a job is to match their field of study, but men choose this criterion more than women, while women value dynamism in work more. From there, it is possible to assess the impact of their socio-demographic characteristics and religious beliefs on the orientation and career choices of young Buddhists, while opening up a new perspective on the scope of influence of Buddhism on many subjects and aspects of social life.
