Summary of the results of the thesis: Based on the analysis and systematization of theoretical and practical issues related to the topic, the thesis has conducted a survey of the current status of monitoring and social criticism of public policies on two electronic newspapers Vnexpress and Daidoanket.vn, evaluated the successes and limitations, pointed out the causes of success and limitations; at the same time, drew out issues from the research results, proposed solutions and recommendations to enhance the role of monitoring and social criticism of public policies on electronic newspapers.

Practical applicability: The results of this study promise to help journalists, online newspaper editorial offices, and governing bodies gain scientific arguments to develop the role of social supervision and criticism of public policies in their newspapers, thereby promoting the role of social supervision and criticism of the press.
