This thesis synthesizes and analyzes a range of theories related to the management of digital data in journalism. It examines the theoretical and practical foundations of digital data management on online news websites in Vietnam today, aiming to better understand the digital transformation process and its impact on media organizations.
During the research process, the author identified and analyzed key factors in the management of digital data in journalism, including technological aspects, processes, resources, human resources, and policies. By combining theories and practical research, the author proposed a comprehensive theoretical framework for the management of digital data in Vietnamese journalism, aiming to ensure effectiveness and sustainability in the digital transformation process.
Furthermore, the author also conducted a survey and assessment of the current state of digital data management on two popular online newspapers, Nhan Dan Online and VietnamPlus/VnExpress. Through this, the author identified existing problems in digital data management in Vietnam, including shortcomings in processes, technology, finance, and a lack of expert personnel in this field.
Based on analysis and evaluation, the author has proposed several solutions to improve the effectiveness of digital data management in journalism, tailored to each media organization in Vietnam. These solutions include improving technology and infrastructure, training and capacity building for personnel, applying flexible management processes, and establishing appropriate support policies.
Overall, this thesis presents an overview of digital data management in the field of journalism in Vietnam. By synthesizing theory and practical research, the thesis proposes a comprehensive theoretical framework and provides insightful perspectives on the current state and challenges in the digital transformation process of media organizations.

The thesis has analyzed the theoretical and practical basis of digital data management on online newspapers in Vietnam today, in order to have a deeper understanding of the digital transformation and its impact on press agencies.
Throughout the research, the author has identified and analyzed significant factors in managing digital data in newspapers, including aspects of technology, processes, resources, human resources, and policies. By combining theories and practical studies, the author has proposed a comprehensive theoretical framework for managing digital data in Vietnamese newspapers, which aims to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of digital transformation.
In addition, the author has also surveyed and assessed the current situation of digital data management on two popular online newspapers, which are Nhan Dan e-newspaper and VietnamPlus, VnExpress. Thereby, the author has identified existing problems in managing digital data in Vietnam, that are caused by the shortage of processes, technology, finance, and experts in this field.
Based on analysis and evaluation, the author has proposed several solutions to improve the efficiency of digital data management in newspapers, that are suitable for each press agency in Vietnam.
