Nam Dinh is one of the provinces with a favorable geographical location and natural conditions for economic, political, cultural, educational, and national defense development. However, along with this development come the positive and negative impacts of the market economy, which have affected the current generation of young people, including high school students in Nam Dinh. The country is experiencing many changes, with the risk of war, and hostile forces are constantly seeking ways to undermine Vietnam. Many high school students in Nam Dinh today are indifferent to current events, lacking responsibility towards themselves, their families, and society. They live without ideals and lack national pride. In particular, they are easily drawn to hostile forces that oppose the country. Given this reality, the education of patriotic traditions for students is a pressing issue in character education, lifestyle education, and moral education. Based on clarifying the importance and current state of patriotic education for high school students in Nam Dinh, this thesis proposes some basic solutions to improve the effectiveness of patriotic education for this group in Nam Dinh.

However, go along with this development the positive impact of negative economic and market influence the younger generation today, of which the student high school in Nam Dinh. The country's situation is more volatile, the risk of war, the hostile forces are always looking for ways to sabotage the country Vietnam. Many high school students in Nam Dinh in the present have indifferent attitude with the time, lack of responsibility to themselves, their families and society. They don't ideal life, lack of pride in the nation. Particularly, they have been pulled under the reactionary forces against the country. Standing in front of this situation, the traditional patriotic education for high school students is an urgent problem in personal education, lifestyle, ethical education.
