10. Summary of the thesis results:

Based on theoretical research, this thesis has systematized the theoretical basis of patients' psychological support needs and drawn the following conclusion: Patients' psychological support needs arePatients with physical illnesses desire and need access to psychological support activities in the hospital to receive psychological support, emotional relief, and counseling to address difficulties in treating their physical illness, change their behavior to stabilize and maintain their health and life, and improve the effectiveness of their treatment.

We investigated the factors influencing patients' need for psychological support, and the results showed that: gender; patient's awareness; anxiety and depression status; communication with healthcare professionals; and the patient's illness were all factors affecting the need for psychological support. Among these, the patient's awareness of psychological support activities and their perception of the importance of psychological support strongly influenced their need for support. Patient awareness and anxiety/depression status were positively correlated with the patient's need for psychological support.

Using a survey on patient support needs, it was found that patients have many support needs. However, given the current context and resources at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital, it is not possible to meet all of the patients' needs.

Through this, we also offer recommendations to promote psychological support for patients and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital.

11. Practical applications:

The research findings of this thesis serve as a useful reference for healthcare facilities, researchers, lecturers, and others to develop appropriate solutions to enhance psychological support for patients and improve the quality of medical care.

12. Future research directions:

If conditions and time permit, we will conduct a more in-depth study on the psychology of patients and their support needs, with a larger and more diverse range of research subjects.

Based on theoretical research the thesis has systematized the basis of reasoning about the need for psychological support of patients the findings have been identified as follows:The need for psychological support of patients is the desire of patients with physical illness, accessing to psychological support in the hospital, psychological support, negative emotions relief, counseling to solve problems related to the treatment of physical illness, behavioral change to stabilize maintain health, and improve lifestyles.

After having researched the factors impacting the need for psychological support of patients, we have found that: sex; Patient awareness; Anxiety, depression; Exchange with medical staff; Disease problems are factors that affect the psychological support needs of the patient. In which Patient awareness about the psychological support strongly influences the patient's psychological support needs.

Awareness about the psychological support, anxiety and depression ofthepatientare strongly correlated with the patient's need for psychological support.

Surveying the patient support needs, the thesis shows that patients have many needs to be supported. However, with the current context and resources at Thai Binh Hospital, it is not possible to meet all the needs of patients.

Thereby, the thesis also gives some recommendations in order to enhance Psychological support for patients and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment in the health establishment.

The results of the thesis are expected to be a useful reference for the health establishments, researchers, and lecturers devising suitable solutions to enhance psychological support for patients and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment in the health establishment.

If we have more time, we will conduct further research on the Patient psychology and the patient's need for support with a larger and more diverse body of research.
