Based on theoretical research and the current situation of criminal behavior characteristics in mentally retarded patients, the research topic studies the characteristics of criminal behavior and factors affecting criminal behavior in mentally retarded patients. In which, psychological factors have a great impact on the crime process and criminal behavior in this group of patients.

11. Practical application:

The research results of the thesis are a useful reference for psychiatrists, psychologists and medical staff in the field of psychiatry, to be able to grasp the psychology and behavioral characteristics of patients to serve the treatment and care of patients at the hospital.

12. Further research directions:

If we have the conditions and time, we will research the topic more deeply into the causes leading to criminal behavior and measures to help people with mental retardation adapt to the community.

10. Summary of these results:

Based on theoretical studies and real situatation of the criminal behavior in patents with mental retardation, this research deals with criminal behavior factors affecting that in mental – ill patents. Among those factors, psychological ones have a huge impact on the behavior of kind of offender.

11. Practical applicability:

The result of this research can be a useful reference of psychologists, doctors specializing in psychology and medical staff in psychiatric hospital to understand more about criminal behavior of the patents. Consequently, it can help to improve the treatment and care for the patients.

12. Further research directions, if any.

If time permits, we will make further research into the cause of criminal behavior of the patients and also the ways to adjust them to the community.
