Based on theoretical research and the current situation regarding the characteristics of criminal behavior in patients with intellectual disabilities, this study investigates the characteristics of criminal behavior and the factors influencing criminal behavior in these patients. In particular, psychological factors have a significant impact on the criminal process and criminal behavior in this patient group.

11. Practical applications:

The research findings of this thesis serve as a useful reference for psychiatrists, psychologists, and healthcare professionals in the field of psychiatry, enabling them to understand the psychology and behavioral characteristics of patients in order to improve their treatment and care at the hospital.

12. Future research directions:

If conditions and time permit, we will conduct further in-depth research on the causes of criminal behavior and measures to help people with intellectual disabilities adapt to the community.

10. Summary of these results:

Based on theoretical studies and real situatation of the criminal behavior in patents with mental retardation, this research deals with criminal behavior factors affecting that in mental – ill patents. Among those factors, psychological ones have a huge impact on the behavior of kind of offender.

11. Practical applicability:

The result of this research can be a useful reference of psychologists, doctors specializing in psychology and medical staff in psychiatric hospital to understand more about criminal behavior of the patents. Consequently, it can help to improve the treatment and care for the patients.

12. Further research directions, if any.

If time permits, we will make further research into the cause of criminal behavior of the patients and also the ways to adjust them to the community.
