10. Summary of thesis results:

Education is one of the most important functions and also an important criterion for assessing the quality of journalism for children. As mentioned throughout the research process of this thesis, this is a rather sensitive area for the press when reporting information about minors. The fact that they are in the stage of psychological development with many changes in perception and behavior, they are very susceptible to crisis, leading to bad or foolish behavior, directly affecting their personality if there is no advice, care, regular and timely education from family, school and society. Therefore, the press reflects information about juvenile delinquency with the aim of deterring and educating them to be aware of their wrongdoings and at the same time having a general preventive effect in the whole society.

With the research topic "Processing information about juvenile delinquents in electronic newspapers", the thesis focused on studying the following aspects: information processing methods, information content, and information forms written about juvenile delinquents in 3 electronic newspapers: Dan Tri, VnExpress and Tuoi Tre, conducting a survey on 5 prominent cases: The case of Le Van Luyen's massacre at a gold shop in Bac Giang; The case of My "wolf" leading a ring specializing in raping girls in Hanoi; The case of Nguyen Cong Bao (15 years old) killing cai luong artist Do Linh; The case of Le Tuan Anh (born in 1995, residing in Quang Chau commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa) sentenced to 18 years in prison for "rape" and "murder"; The case of rebellious son Nguyen Kha Dat killing his mother and hiding her body in a jar in Kien Giang. From there, the thesis evaluates the advantages and limitations in providing information about juvenile delinquents, in order to contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of information about this subject, contributing to deterrence, education, and general prevention for the whole society.

In chapter 1, the thesis has outlined and clarified a number of theoretical and practical issues about the concept of electronic newspapers, juvenile delinquents, and the role of the press in informing about juvenile delinquents. In particular, the legal basis and professional ethics of journalists when reporting on this subject in electronic newspapers today.

In chapter 2, the thesis conducts a survey on the frequency of news and articles as well as the level of interest of readers; the way of processing information; the content of information; the form of information about juvenile delinquents through 5 typical cases: The tragedy caused by Le Van Luyen at Ngoc Bich gold shop in Bac Giang province in 2011; the case led by the female monster My Soi who organized rape and robbery, including child rape, taking place in Hanoi in 2011; the case of the rebellious son Nguyen Kha Dat killing his mother, robbing her property and hiding her body in a water jar in Kien Giang province in 2015; the case committed by Le Tuan Anh (born in 1995, residing in Quang Chau commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa) with the acts of "rape" and "murder" in 2012; The case of Nguyen Cong Bao (15 years old) against artist Do Linh in Ho Chi Minh City on three typical electronic newspapers: Dan Tri, VnExpress, and Tuoi Tre. In terms of content, the thesis has deeply analyzed and surveyed information about the cause of the crime; Method of committing the crime; Verdict; Information related to the prisoner after being sentenced; Impact of the case on society and other information as well as the form of expression: Photos, headlines, sapo. Based on the survey and analysis, the thesis points out the advantages and limitations of that information.

In chapter 3, the thesis presents a number of solutions and recommendations to improve the quality of information about juvenile delinquents in electronic newspapers in Vietnam. The solutions are specifically proposed to press management agencies in general and electronic newspapers in particular, emphasizing the issue of news orientation and severe punishment regulations to limit the use of unverified or unhuman information about juveniles in electronic newspapers when exploiting information about the characters.

11. Practical application:

With this topic, the thesis contributes to clarifying some advantages and limitations of information about juvenile delinquents in electronic newspapers today. This contributes to creating a basis for further in-depth research on juveniles in general and juvenile delinquents in particular in various types of press; adding a source of information for researchers, press management agencies and readers interested in information about juveniles in the press.

Education is one of the most important functions and is also an important criterion for assessing the quality of media for children. As mentioned during the study of this thesis, this is a very sensitive field of the media when there is lack of information about adolescents. These children, who are in the development stage with many psychological and physiological changes in perception and behavior, easily fall into recession leading to bad behavior, or foolishness, that directly affects personality if there is no consultation, care, continuous and timely education from family, school and society. Therefore, the press reflects the information surrounding the delinquency of infants for the purpose of deterrence and education to help them realize their misconducts and have preventive effects in the entire society.

In terms of the research topic "Dealing with information about illegal adolescents in electronic press", the thesis focuses on some aspects: how to process the information, information content, the information form about juvenile delinquency in 3 electronic newspapers: AP, VnExpress and The Youth, conducted a survey on 5 outstanding cases: the case of Le Van Luyen massacring a gold shop in Bac Giang; the case of My "wolf” leading the line which specializes in raping girls in Hanoi; the case of Nguyen Cong Bao (15 years old) killing reformist artist Do Linh; the case of Le Tuan Anh (born in 1995, resident in Guangzhou Commune, Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa) put in prison for 18 years on charges of "rape" and "murder"; the case of Nguyen Kha Dat killing his mother and hiding the death body in a jar in Kien Giang. Consequently, the thesis reviews the advantages and limitations of the information about minor breach, in order to contribute to the improvement of the quality and efficiency of the information on this object, together with the deterrence, education, prevention for the whole society.

Chapter 1 of the thesis generalized to clarify some issues about the theoretical and practical concepts of electronic newspapers, especially about minor delinquency, and the role of the media in the information about adolescent offense. specifically, the legal principle and professional ethics of journalists when reporting about this subject on currently electronic media.

Based on the survey, analysis; the thesis points out the advantages and limitations of such information.

In chapter 3, the thesis outlines a number of measures and recommendations to improve the quality of information on juvenile delinquency electronic newspaper in Vietnam. The solutions proposed to specific management agencies in general and electronic journalism in particular, which emphasize problem-oriented reporting and heavily sanctioned regulations to limit the electronic media informing about minors who are lacking of verifiable or not ensuring about humanity when exploiting information of those characters.

With this topic, the thesis contributes to clarifying some of the advantages and limitations of information on minor criminals in electronic media today. This helps to create the basis for further researches on minors in general and juvenile delinquency particularly based on the type of press; add a source for researchers, authorities and media readers interested in information about minors in the press.
