The thesis has evaluated the positive and negative consequences of land acquisition for water supply construction in Bac Ninh province.

Positive effects include:

+ People's quality of life is improved because they use clean water from the water supply project.

+ People find new livelihoods that bring higher economic value than agricultural production.

+ People have a compensation amount, both for spending, shopping, and investing in production equipment.

+ Agricultural land prices in the area increased and people benefited from that.

In addition, the thesis also points out the negative impacts of the project on people in the research area:

+ People no longer have fields for agricultural production, leading to sustainable livelihoods being affected.

+ The project has created inequalities in the benefits of local people.

Finally, the thesis provides recommendations and solutions to benefit people in the project area, and at the same time contributes to the successful implementation of subsequent projects.
