Globalization has impacted, and will continue to impact, our higher education system in the coming years. International integration creates a higher level of competition in the quality of teachers and the quality of educational outcomes, specifically the quality of graduates and their research and scientific applications. In this context, students must be trained and equipped with the skills to become global citizens, capable of facing challenges, highly adaptable, and able to find good employment.
Recognizing this, as a specialized training institution for the transportation sector, the University of Transport and Communications has always prioritized and developed international cooperation activities. However, alongside achievements in training, research, and expanding relationships, this activity also reveals many limitations in its operational methods, human resource level, infrastructure, etc. This thesis provides an overall assessment of the achievements and limitations of this activity, as well as the advantages and difficulties in its implementation. Based on this, it recommends measures to overcome the shortcomings and further enhance the effectiveness of international cooperation at the University.
This is the first thesis to study the international cooperation activities of the University of Transport and Communications from the perspective of international relations, so the research results are entirely new.
11. Practical applications:
The research findings of this thesis are fully applicable in practice. These results will help the University review and reassess its overall international cooperation activities; adjust and develop an international cooperation strategy for the new period; and consider and apply proposed measures under specific conditions and circumstances.
12. Future research directions:
Innovation and reform in education and training have always been hot topics in Vietnam. There are many paths to educational reform, and international cooperation is one of the most effective and positive methods. However, this thesis has not had the opportunity to delve deeply into this issue at other training institutions, thus lacking a comprehensive overview of this activity in general and failing to provide comparisons with other universities. Furthermore, Vietnam does not yet have any universities ranked among the world's top universities, a crucial criterion for assessing the level of international educational integration. Therefore, more in-depth research on this issue is needed.

Educational reform has always been a burning issue in Vietnam. There have been many ways for reform and international cooperation is one of the most effective methods. However, this thesis has not got an opportunity to go further to explore in other educational institutes so there might not have an overview on this activity in comparison with other universities. Besides, there is no Vietnamese university listed in the top brand universities in the world which is one of important criteria to assess level of international integration. Therefore, there is a need of conducting a further study on this matter
