  6. The topic: "Promotion activities of Hanoi tourism to attract Chinese tourists" was researched in the period of 2009-2013 and achieved the following results:
  • Systematized the theoretical basis of tourism promotion, the role as well as the forms of promotion mainly used in current tourism activities to attract and develop the tourist market, on that basis the author applied to the reality of tourism promotion activities in Hanoi.
  • By studying the current situation of Chinese tourists to Hanoi in the past 5 years and through analyzing the results of surveys of Chinese tourists to Hanoi, the thesis has shown that Chinese tourists to Hanoi are increasing but always fluctuating. Along with that, through organizing surveys and interviews with Chinese tourists to Hanoi, the author has made preliminary conclusions about the source of Chinese tourists to Hanoi.
  • Based on the analysis of the current status of promotion to attract tourists of the capital's tourism industry, the thesis has pointed out the advantages, difficulties and limitations as well as the opportunities of Hanoi tourism in attracting the Chinese tourist market in the coming time, thereby proposing a number of solutions and recommendations to the tourism management agencies at the Central level and Hanoi to increasingly develop this tourist market in the following years.

Topic “Tourism promotion activities of Hanoi City towards attracting Chinese tourists” researched in 2009-2013 period, the thesis gained results as follows:

- Systematized theoretical base for tourism promotion, roles and forms of promotion activities mainly used in current tourism activities in order to attract and develop a tourist market and based on that the author applied to tourism promotion activities of Hanoi City.

- By researching the real situation of a number of Chinese visitors to Hanoi City over the past five years through analyzing survey results of Chinese tourists coming to Hanoi, the thesis shows that Chinese tourists coming to Hanoi increasing but changing market. Along with the above work, examinations, surveys and interviews of Chinese tourists have also been conducted, accordingly the author draws conclusions about a source of Chinese visitors to Hanoi.

- On the basis of analyzing the real situation of promotion activities of Hanoi tourism industry for the purpose of attracting tourists, the thesis points out advantages, disadvantages, restrictions as well as opportunities of Hanoi tourism industry towards attracting Chinese tourists in the upcoming time, and then it proposes some solutions and recommendations to the tourism authorities at central level and Hanoi tourism authorities in order to strongly develop this tourist market in the upcoming years.
