10. Summary of thesis results:
In this thesis, we have conducted research on the texts called Thach Nong Thi Tap, through two texts with the symbols VHv.700 and VHv.1149/2 kept at the Institute of Han Nom Studies. In addition to the Introduction, Conclusion, References and Appendix; the thesis consists of 3 chapters, solving the following problems:
- Chapter 1: Introducing Nguyen Tu Gian's life and career.
- Chapter 2: Survey of the text of Thach Nong's poetry collection.
- Chapter 3: Studying the value of the poetry collection Thach Nong Thi Tap.
Through the content of the three chapters in the thesis, readers can have a general picture of the life and career of Nguyen Tu Gian. Based on the description and survey of the text, the thesis chooses the coded version VHv.700 as the good version to translate and publish. From the results of textual research, the thesis explores the basic values of the collection of poems in terms of poetic content and artistic form.
Nguyen Tu Gian's Thach Nong Thi Tap consists of 3 poetry collections, through which we can see a part of the Nguyen Dynasty's water control work in Bac Ky through the Quan Ha collection, the pacification of bandits in Hai Yen through the Dong Chinh collection, and information about Nguyen Tu Gian during his time as an official at Tap Hien Vien through the Van Lam Thi Thao collection.
The thesis transcribes and translates 60 poems in the work Thach Nong Thi Tap, coded version VHv.700; contributing to the publication of Nguyen Tu Gian's translated poems, especially poems that have not been translated, published and introduced to readers.

In this thesis, we have surveyed whole “Thach Nong Thi Tap” work with two documentaries which are marked VHV.700 and VHV.1149 /2. Both are preserved in Institute of Sino-Nom Studies. Besides The Beginning, Conclusion, Reference documents and Index, the thesis has solved basic requirements of research title with 3 issues as:
Chapter 1: General introduction to Nguyen Tu Gian's profile and career
Chapter 2: General introduction to “Thach Nong thi tap”
Chapter 3: Present the value of “Thach Nong thi tap” work
Through the content of the three chapters in the thesis, readers can visualize the general life and career of Nguyen Tu Gian. Based on the description and survey of the text, the thesis selects the document which is noted VHV.700 to do the translation and publication. From the results of the study of document, the thesis explores the basic values of the poetry collection on the content of poetry and art forms.
“Thach Nong thi tap” by Nguyen Tu Gian consists of 3 volumes of poetry, which shows a part in the water conservancy in the Tonkin of the Nguyen through the Quan Ha volume, defending the enemy in Hai Yen through Dong Chinh volume, and information about Nguyen Tu Gian during his time at the institute through Van Lam volume.
The thesis proceeds transliterating and translating 60 poems in the document “Thach Nong Thi Tap” (VHv.700), contributing to the publication of the translation of poems by Nguyen Tu Gian, especially the poems have not been translated.
