- The issue of vocational training is of great concern to parents in the craft village area, but its implementation is still not satisfactory.
- While most parents still want their children to attend university or college, many others guide their children to finish high school and leave the choice to them.
- There is no difference between boys and girls in educational choices, but there are differences in career choices and future employment. Parents in traditional craft villages tend to choose high-income and traditional occupations for their sons, while for their daughters they prefer stable jobs and government positions.
- Parents' participation in the language learning program for their children is primarily to offer advice and discuss matters together with their children.
- Parents research career options, invest in learning resources and materials, remind their children to study, and maintain contact with their children's teachers at the Foreign Language University.
- Parents' educational level influences their children's foreign language proficiency.

The thesis explains the following issues:
- Although the parents in the trade village are interested in career choices for their children, in fact, the implementation of this issue is difficult.
- While most parents hope their children continue their education at colleges or universities, others are just interested in completing high school and their children are free to choose to study afterwards.
- There is no difference in the parents' expectation between son and daughter for level of education but this difference is found in career and job choices. While parents usually hope that their sons get high paying or traditional jobs, girls are expected to get steady jobs or become state employees.
- Parents usually give their suggestions or advice to children with regard to the issue of career choices.
- Parents do find information about future careers, pay the costs of training, learning facilities and take contact with the teacher.
- The education level of parents influence's is their expectation about the career for their children.
