Chapter 2: Survey of conversational characteristics in some Vietnamese language teaching books for foreigners. Chapter 3: Designing Vietnamese conversational lessons for foreigners and proposing some speaking practice conversations by topic at the basic level. 1. Through studying conversational theory, surveying conversational characteristics in some Vietnamese language teaching books for foreigners at both basic and advanced levels, the thesis aims to make basic, objective and logical comments on the issue. Within the framework of the thesis, we want to help readers better understand the nature of conversation in general as well as conversation in Vietnamese language teaching books for foreigners in particular. 2. The main purpose of the thesis is to survey and study conversation in Vietnamese language teaching books for foreigners to discover some of the most basic characteristics in the conversations. Through that, the thesis aims to design lesson plans and propose some effective Vietnamese speaking practice conversations at the basic level, contributing to improving the quality of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners. 3. From the research results, we also have recommendations and proposals on the construction and teaching of Vietnamese conversation. We hope that this will more or less contribute to the success of teaching Vietnamese conversation and gradually raise the position of Vietnamese to a new level.

Chapter 2: The survey characteristics regarding dialogues in several Vietnamese language texts. Chapter 3: Designing lectures for dialogues in several Vietnamese language texts and refer some ways to create Vietnamese dialogues in order to facilitate the development of speaking skills at the beginning level. 1. Through understanding the theory of conversation, our survey assesses characteristics of the dialogues in Vietnamese language texts at both beginning and advanced levels. Using this method, our thesis gives basic, objective and logical reviews on this issue. Within the thesis, we would like to readers to better understand the nature of conversation in general, as well as dialogues in Vietnamese language texts in particular. 2. The main purpose of the thesis is to study and explore dialogues in Vietnamese language texts in order to discover some basic characteristics of conversation in general. Through this process, our thesis aims to design improved lectures and to suggest some Vietnamese dialogues at the beginning level as well as to contribute to improving the quality of Vietnamese language teaching. 3. Based on the research results, we also provide recommendations and proposals for creating as well as teaching Vietnamese conversation. We hope that this thesis can contribute to the success and effectiveness of teaching Vietnamese conversation to foreign students and can gradually help raise the status of Vietnamese teaching to a new level.
