Chapter 2: Survey of conversational characteristics in some Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners. Chapter 3: Designing Vietnamese conversation lessons for foreigners and proposing some thematic speaking practice dialogues at the basic level. 1. Through studying conversational theory and surveying conversational characteristics in some Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners at both basic and advanced levels, this thesis aims to provide fundamental, objective, and logical observations on the issue. Within the framework of this thesis, we want to help readers better understand the nature of conversation in general, as well as conversation in Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners in particular. 2. The main purpose of this thesis is to survey and understand conversation in Vietnamese language textbooks for foreigners to discover some of the most basic characteristics in these conversations. Through this, the thesis aims to design lesson plans and propose several effective Vietnamese speaking practice dialogues at the basic level, contributing to improving the quality of Vietnamese language teaching for foreigners. 3. Based on the research results, we also have recommendations and suggestions regarding the development and teaching of Vietnamese conversation. We hope that this will contribute to the success of teaching Vietnamese conversation and gradually elevate the status of the Vietnamese language to a new level.

Using this method, our thesis gives basic, objective and logical reviews on this issue. Within the thesis, we would like to readers to better understand the nature of conversation in general, as well as dialogues in Vietnamese language texts in particular. 2. The main purpose of the thesis is to study and explore dialogues in Vietnamese language texts in order to discover some basic characteristics of conversation in general. Through this process, our thesis aims to design improved lectures and to suggest some Vietnamese dialogues at the beginning level as well as to contribute to improving the quality of Vietnamese language teaching. 3. Based on the research results, we also provide recommendations and proposals for creating as well as teaching Vietnamese conversation. We hope that this thesis can contribute to the success and effectiveness of teaching Vietnamese conversation to foreign students and can gradually help raise the status of Vietnamese teaching to a new level.
